...the donor who announced to donate 500€ per month to UBI4ALL. She wrote in German language, here's the translation:
I support UBI4ALL because I am convinced that it provides the support that is needed and releases a lot of creativity. Moreover, it counteracts business models of companies that pay such low wages that their employees still have to top up despite full employment. These companies are therefore subsidised by the state, which is outrageous. They "deserve" only one thing: uncompromising insolvency. With a basic income, workers can escape such wage models, it gives them back their dignity.
Germany is one of the most developed countries in Europe with regards to social insurance and benefits. Yet, this system is far from being perfect! Hartz IV (unemployment and social benefits) for example has very suppressive and degrading application measures for people in need. And poverty is still an issue in Germany, even a growing one! Therefore there are strong attempts from different groups to implement an Unconditional Basic Income who also get large press coverage.
We in UBI4ALL want to discuss the importance of March 8 – International Women’s day. Therefore, we decided to honor women this March, and we hope you join us in doing so. But first, let me start by sharing with you the story of 3 women, which is my personal way to honor them (and honor women) this March.
